Spotlight

Brian d'Arcy James and Matt Carroll, the investigative journalist whom Brian portrays in Spotlight, discuss their first meeting in New York. Matt says it was strange, but cool because Brian was studying him to pick up his mannerisms and accent. Brian reveals that his biggest challenge in this movie, which is about uncovering child abuse within the Catholic Church, was to accurately portray Matt in the movie and his contribution to the investigation and subsequent report in The Boston Globe.
