A young girl named Alice (Cricket Brown) is able to perform miracles and offer divine healing after an apparent visitation with the Virgin Mary. Her miracle work has gotten the attention of millions around the world, garnering followers from large cities like New York and Chicago, all the way up to Vatican City. Struggling journalist Gerry Fenn (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) pitches the story to The Examiner, asking to cover the exclusive. During his investigation, Gerry begins to witness horrific events revolving around Alice, leading him to believe that this is not the work of the Virgin Mary, but of the unholy.
