Following the life of John Vogel (Sean Penn), a notorious conman in the United States, his daughter Jennifer (Dylan Penn) recalls the type of man her father was. The tender and intimate memories, as well as the harsher realities of his double life come to the surface, causing conflict between father and daughter. Through it all, his one motivation remains clear, which is his love for his daughter.
