John (Viggo Mortensen) goes to the airport to pick up his elderly father, Willis (Lance Henriksen), to bring him for a visit to his home with his husband and daughter. Willis is showing signs of dementia, and with it comes a toxic attitude that has no filter as he harrasses John's family during a get-together and berates his son for his sexual orientation. Despite their strained relationship, John still cares for Willis, and tries to offer to help him in his old age—help that Willis is reluctant to take.
