What a disappointment. Though I was interested in the film & even liked Frank Miller’s Sin City, this was bad. It’s appropriate it opened Christmas Day, because this was a turkey!

Wow, this is a terrible movie. The acting is so over the top, you won't believe what your seeing. The story is so painfully dull, you'll fight the urge to walk out of the theatre. The only thing The Spirit has got going for it is its style, but you can rent Sin City if that's what you're after. I think Frank Miller should stick to writing comic books, and leave the film making to guys like Robert Rodriguez. This may be the worst film of 2008! Strike that, this is the worst film of 2008!
