At first, I had no intention of seeing this movie until a friend recommended it to me. I am so glad they did. Excellent acting throughout the film. Really impressed with David Kross, although I don't think his full frontal nude scene was necessary, plus they edited out some really important scenes as well. I recommend viewing the deleted scenes on Youtube.

The movie was far better than what I expected. Very touching, emotional and dramatic. Great performances.

Excellent movie!! A little too much nudity at first but the movie over all was great! A must to see. I did not want to see this film and now so glad I did.

I am a very opinionated film critic who sees most films these days worthy of being tossed into a local landfill site. This film, however, is an exception to the rule. Superb acting by Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes. A story that focuses on a boy coming of age and a woman who in herself is a victim for being caught up in the social and political ramifications of the Third Reich. A must see film.
