Oh what a movie! Tilda and Goran have made my night. It was a night to remember from the start... A mother trying to protect her son, a detective who knows far to many details and plays a game of cat and mouse. This is the first movie that I see Visnjic take the lead and play the whole movie. I have watched Spartacus back in 2003, but it was somewhat predictable and I haven't completed it since...

Tilda Swinton's perfomance was a masterpiece. Goran Visnjic was the master that silently escorted the plot to the end. Jonathan Tucker was simply stunning. These three actors played their characters to the perfection, bringing this thriller as closely to the viewer as possible. Josh Lucas was shortly in this film, but his contribution didn't go unnoticed. The thing is, none of these actors was given a leading role in a blockbuster project in Hollywood. Goran Visnjic is an excellent actor capable of portraying James Bond, Tilda Swinton can make you feel tense and uncomfortable with her acting any time, and Jonathan Tucker will always have this bad boy looks, this killer-cold eye contact.

I thought Jonathan Tucker`s performance in THE DEEP END was excellent. It`s very brave playing a gay role in ultra conservative Hollywood these days. There`s still quite a lot of hostility towards gay people, so more power to you. J. Crawford. Sydney Australia May 1st 05
