Script let a talented cast down. Comedy actor writers should stay away from action, high iq sci fi. Good for kiddies. Below reviewer has their opinion as a fan, I have mine. Respect it. As a a fan of Star Trek, this was a big floppy flop. Wait for DVD or tv. 2 stars for good actors let down by Writers. Previous Into darkness and Star Trek were both 4/5 in my books.

If you are a Star Trek fan and or Sci-Fi Fan, you have to see this movie at the theatre. I myself am not a huge Star Trek fan, but love this movie. I like it more then Into Darkness. So don't believe the crap coming from haters, they don't have the love and passion about sci-fi movies like we do. I am a huge movie fan, I've seen lots, and this is a must see movie at the theatre. Enjoy.

Leave your brain at the door and lose yourself in the Fast and Furious action!

Pretty freaking wicked. Simon Pegg and his writing partner, did a great job. I liked how they incorporated Nemoy's death into it. Go see this flick, even if you are a not a ST fan, you will love it. My only issue is it didn't need to be in 3D and Justin Lin does great directing except why make the camera float and spin when the scene doesn't warrant it? Because seconds later the actors or the ship etc are in space or floating in a vacuum afterwards all on it's own which would make the floating/spinning warranted. But I guess, like Michael Bay does his slow motion spin around his characters, or JJ Abrams does his signature screen flares, every director needs to have their own style.

They should do a Trek/Fast & Furious combo film!

Great action movie. Georgeous Yorktown space station. I want to move there. Looks like tomorrowland on steroids. Simon Peg still steals the show.

I watched it Saturday, and thoroughly enjoyed it for about the first 3/4s. Unfortunately, it makes the same mistake that so many other Hollywood summer blockbuster movies make: it just piles on more and more and more special effects, explosions, fights, flying debris, flying bodies, frikking laser beams, etc. By the time they get to the final fight between the hero and the villain, I felt completely overwhelmed and worn out. And this was in regular 2D - if I'd seen it in 3D IMAX it probably would have knocked me unconscious! By far the best parts of the movie are the scenes where these characters interact like old friends, such as the banter back and forth between Spock and McCoy.
