Outstanding movie! Kudos to McCarthy for his courage in making this movie. Well directed and extremely well cast.

Not Oscar worthy. Someone just trying to cash in on a hot topic.

Not a good "first date" movie.

Good actors, the fact thT it was a true story. An important topic, the fact it happened all over the world and its good it finally came out to the media.

Superficial, I'd almost say trash script which didn't add on iota of information or insight to the story and hampered an excellent cast (Keaton, Ruffalo, Schreiber, McAdams).

A very good movie a dark subject matter but very informative makes me sick that men of God we're getting away with something like that

This movie has absolutely nothing to do with Roman Catholicism. Nowhere in The Bible is such sinful behaviour encouraged. The film deals with the abuse of power by wicked men who use their positions of trust against innocent children. The film is "very there" - not great - too much talking and very little action. As has already been mentioned, there are others that treat this and similar issues in a much better way.
