Realistic and Sean Penn`s performace is exceptional. Great Movie if you`re in one of those dark deep thinking kind of moods.

One of the best movies I`ve seen this year. It`s a murder mystery but it`s also about friendship, pain, and it shows that the effects of trauma goes much further than the victim. Interesting challenging script, shows that men have a deep emotional life ...

Slow start, with a disturbing ending. Life appears to go on as usual after the killing of one of the main actors, however they almost try to justify that the killing is okay; or does Kevin Bacon leave us with the thought that one day he will get his man? What did you think?

Mystic River is an Emotionally challenged Drama. Eastwood`s best film so far. A perfect Cast!!!

Mystic River is definately one of the years best films. The acting was superb on all levels...in particular Sean Penn`s performance....nothing but OUTSTANDING!! Tim Robbins displayed a quality of acting I haven`t seen since The Shawshank Redemption. This movie compelled me till the very end! One point to note was the ending..with such an intense and emotional film, I expected the accusers to have been more profound and equally as intensive as the film itself. A small disappointment. However, overall OSCAR worthy on many fronts...best picture, best actor (Sean Penn) and best Supporting Actor (Tim Robbins)....

I would really like to know why they call this a thriller. This is a drama if I ever seen one! Very predictable plot and too long and drawn out. Certainly not one of Eastwood`s best ones. Not terrible but certainly not terrific - just ok but I won`t be watching it a second time. I guess overall I was somewhat disappointed.
