Date of Birth: September 30, 1982

Lacey Chabert showed enormous talent as a singer even at an early age, and though she played roles in musicals in her hometown of Purvis, Mississippi, she and her family realized that she would have to move to make it in the big time. They relocated to New York City, where Lacey's first job was a commercial for cough syrup. Soon after, she auditioned successfully for the Broadway production of Les Miserables, and played the role of Young Cosette for two years.

In 1993, at the age of 10, she landed the plum role of Baby June in the TV musical movie version of the Broadway hit, Gypsy, starring Bette Midler as her mother. Lacey's career took off in 1994, when she landed the role of Claudia Salinger, the youngest daughter on the new series Party of Five. Although the ratings were low at first, after the show won a Golden Globe for Best Drama and was featured on the cover of TV Guide as "The Best New Show You're Not Watching," the ratings suddenly went through the roof. The four young stars who played the brothers and sisters became household names overnight and were offered plenty of work during their hiatus each year from Party of Five. Lacey was kept busy doing TV movies such as Educating Mom (1996) and When Secrets Kill (1997) as well as providing the voices for various animated characters, including the singing voice for the lead character in the animated feature Anastasia (1997). She made her major motion picture debut in Lost in Space (1998), and the same year, was tapped to provide the voice for the main character, Eliza, in the animated TV series The Wild Thornberrys.

In 1997 and 1998, Lacey won YoungStar Awards for her role in Party of Five. Since the show ended in 2000, she has kept busy with a number of projects, including the teen horror spoof Not Another Teen Movie (2001), The Wild Thornberrys Movie (2002) and Daddy Day Care (2003).

Like her character on Party of Five, Lacey is a capable violinist. She also plays piano and enjoys dancing, golfing and photography. Lacey lives in the Los Angeles area.
