Although he came to be known as Ben Stiller's father, Jerry Stiller was a TV star before Ben was even born. Along with his wife, Anne Meara, he performed a comedy act, performing 36 times on The Ed Sullivan Show.
He may be best remembered for his recurring role as Frank Costanza on Seinfeld, or as Arthur Spooner on King of Queens, but he appeared on hundreds of TV series over the course of his 60-year career.
He passed away at the age of 92 in Manhattan, New York City. He was married to Anne Meara for 61 years, until her death in 2015.
