ISAAC HEMPSTEAD WRIGHT
Date of Birth: April 9, 1999
Born and raised in England, Isaac Hempstead Wright initially joined a drama class in an attempt to avoid playing soccer on cold Saturday mornings.
Although he didn’t consider himself an actor, when an open call was announced for a new series called Game of Thrones, Isaac went along for the audition with friends from his drama class. At age 10, he landed the role of Bran Stark and notes that although he loves being on the show, he sometimes has to film in climates colder than he would have had to endure for soccer.
During a break from the series, Isaac made his big screen debut in the thriller The Awakening (2011), opposite Rebecca Hall. He joined Hall again in his next big screen venture, Closed Circuit (2013), also starring Eric Bana.
Isaac has also provided voices for the TV series Family Guy and the animated film, The Boxtrolls, which is an adaptation of the novel Here be Monsters! by Alan Snow. The film tells the tale of a human boy, Eggs, voiced by Isaac, and the Boxtrolls who have taken him in and raised him. Other high profile actors providing voices include Sir Ben Kingsley, Jared Harris, Nick Frost, Tracy Morgan and Elle Fanning.
In 2013, Isaac was nominated for a Young Artist Award for his work on Game of Thrones.
Isaac lives in Faversham, Kent with his family. He enjoys playing piano and drums in between acting and studying.
