Born in London, Cara Delevingne attended Francis Holland School for Girls until the age of 16, when she switched to Bedales School in Hampshire, England. Cara has some well-known relatives and connections: her sister is model Poppy Delevingne and her godparents are Nicholas Coleridge, the president of Conde Nast International and actress Joan Collins, respectively.

Cara began her modeling career at the age of 10. She signed with Storm Model Management in 2009 and was part of the Burberry spring/summer campaign in 2011. That same year, Cara made her first catwalk appearance at the London Fashion Week.

Other brands that Cara has modeled for include H&M, DKNY, Tom Ford, Yves Saint Laurent, Zara and Chanel. As a model, she has been featured on the cover of Vogue magazine and modeled for Victoria’s Secret.

In early 2015, she was announced to be the new face of Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, as well as the new brand ambassador of the Swiss watch brand TAG Heuer.

In 2012, Cara made her film debut with a non-speaking part in Anna Karenina starring Keira Knightley. Throughout 2014, Cara appeared in several TV shows and in a short film directed by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel alongside Pharrell Williams. Cara also appeared in some music videos, including in Taylor Swift’s video for her song “Bad Blood.”

In 2015, her career heated up when she landed a starring role in the psychological thriller The Face of an Angel based on the Amanda Knox murder, alongside Kate Beckinsale and Daniel Bruhl.

However, what brought Cara major attention was her starring role in Paper Towns, based on a book by John Greene, the author of The Fault in Our Stars.

Her latest credits include the blockbuster superhero flick Suicide Squad (2016), in which she played the Enchantress alongside Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Viola Davis, the romance drama Tulip Fever (2017) with Alicia Vikander and Dane DeHaan, the mystery thriller London Fields (2017) with Amber Heard, and Luc Besson's sci-fi adventure flick Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017), in which she reteams with Dane DeHaan.

In July 2015, Cara came out as bisexual. She is dating singer St. Vincent, whose real name is Annie Clark. She has also dated Michelle Rodriguez.
