The Boys & Girl from County Clare

John Joe MacMahon (Bernard Hill) and his no-good brother Jimmy (Colm Meany) have played Ceili music since they were born, but after years of sibling rivalry they went their separate ways. After 30 odd years, they're converging in their hometown of County Clare to compete in Ireland's biggest Ceili competition and they're prepared to lie, cheat and steal to win. But when Anne, the beautiful young fiddle player in John Joe's band meets and falls in love with Teddy, the handsome young flute player from Jimmy's Liverpool band, allegiance is tested and secrets are revealed as everyone begins to realize how hard it is to change the past.
