Molière

In 1644, young actor/ playwright Jean-Baptist Poquelin, known as Molière, is thrown in prison for failing to pay his many debts. However, he is released when his debts are paid by a rich merchant named Jordan, who wants Molière to teach him the art of drama in order to attract the young marquise Célimène.

To make sure his wife, Elmire, doesn’t get suspicious, Jordan invites Molière to stay at his home, passing him off as a priest named Tartuffe. The situation becomes complicated when the playwright falls for Elmire without being able to tell her the real reason for his presence in her home.
