Created in 1951 by the Peruvian government, the open-air penal colony in the Amazon jungle on the Rio Sepa is a dumping ground for the worst of the worst. Survivors of the Lurigancho prison massacre, prisoners who've done extras years because of lost release papers, a headhunter and others are permitted to roam freely while growing crops, yet are abandoned and forgotten by their country and the rest of the world.
