Director Alex Anna talks about her new short film, Scars, which blends documentary and animation to bring awareness to the emotional distress behind self harming. Ms. Anna describes her own personal battle with emotional pain, including how she felt when her friends and family ignored her scars. She reveals what we can do if we know someone is suffering from this and she also has an alternate plan of action for her fellow sufferers as to what they can do if they feel like harming themselves.
