Theater Reviews

a jewel

I so enjoy seeing film here. Comfortable, quiet, always a nice, respectable crowd. Come here to see fine films you wouldn't have an opportunity to see elsewhere. One of many West End cultural jewels.

A Good Dose of Metamucil Can't Save 'Santaland Diaries'

December 16, 2018

A show designed for mature audiences with unsophisticated humor. The story was indeed for mature adult audiences as carefully described in its description. While my wife and I decided to quietly leave the theater in the middle of this ridiculous performance, this third rate amateur on stage started to make offensive remarks to us as we were leaving.Would he had just kept his mouth shut, and respected the choice that we made, I would not have told him (on our way out) that he "was not funny, but was disgusting". As we continued to leave,he insisted to use our exit as a means to mock and attempt to embarrass my wife and me with some insults.I will be notifying the board of the Civic Theater and requesting an audience with this 'actor' and the president of the board. I will then like to see how he will interject his sense of 'humor' into this conversation. My attorney will also be interested as well as I am sure the numerous sponsors of the show.I could care if the show could be described as 'R' or 'G' rated. The performance was absolutely putrid. This simpleton of an actor obviously needs attention at the expense of humiliating others

A show designed for mature audiences with unsophisticated humor while depending on the usually mundane sexual gestures to get a laugh was nothing more than a pathetic attempt by a ' wanna be stand up comic'.
