In this trailer for The Way Back, Jack Cunningham (Ben Affleck) reflects on the fact that his father only began to pay attention to him when he discovered his talent for basketball. When he realized his father didn't love him, only what he could do, in retaliation, Jack never touched a basketball again. Years later, having drowned his sorrows in alcohol and basically made a mess of his life, his former school calls him up and asks him to coach the basketball team he once played for.
