The official trailer for the Western action film The Magnificent Seven fires off as Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington) struts into a tavern and says, "When a man carries a gun, he tends to use it." Unsurprisingly, he proceeds to shoot everyone in the bar except Josh Farrady (Chris Pratt). It's revealed soon after that Sam is looking to enlist a few men to help him with an "impossible" job. Josh jumps on board.

As the trailer continues, we learn that Sam is searching for other men to assist on the job. The woman in charge of the operation is Emma Cullen (Haley Bennett), who seeks revenge on Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), who mercilessly killed her husband and ruthlessly controls her hometown of Rose Creek.

The other misfit men Sam rounds up include Billy Rocks (Byung-hun Lee), Jack Horne (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke). The group eventually amounts to seven, and together the men vow to take on Bartholomew and his army.
