Lonely bartender Bob Saginowski (Tom Hardy) works at a tavern called Marv's in Brooklyn. Once owned by Marv (James Gandolfini), who now runs the place, it's a "drop bar," used by the local Chechen mob to transfer cash in the underworld.

Bob finds himself in danger when the bar is held up by two small-time crooks and the Chechens suspect the robbery was an inside job.
