In the official trailer for The Dressmaker, an elegant woman gets off a bus and an older man appears surprised to see her. Everyone in the small town is talking about the woman, Myrtle Dunnage (Kate Winslet) and they are amazed by her haute couture clothing. She returns to her rundown home, and there's gossip that she killed a boy. She reveals to a young local man that she worked as a designer in London, Milan and Paris. She transforms the frumpy Gertrude (Sarah Snook) into a stunning woman, and the rest of the town begins to ask her for designs. But that doesn't stop the rumors of her being a murderer.
