In the teaser trailer for Suspiria, we see Susie Bannion (Dakota Johnson) nervously clasping her chest, as we hear frightening music. We see Madame Blanc (Tilda Swinton) smoking intensely, and Dr. Jozef Klemperer (Tilda Swinton, billed as Lutz Ebersdorf) walking slowly to his apartment. After a sequence of eerie dancing, we are thrust into a dream sequence in which the letters of the film are spelled out in red. In the dream sequence we see unusual characters, parched lips, maggots, a picture of a missing woman, a woman who is bound by ropes, children dancing, a suicide attempt, supernatural behaviors, and finally a strange looking hook placed neatly beside a teacup.
