In the gripping premiere trailer for Solace, FBI special agent Joe Merriweather (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) comes across a jarring crime scene where the blood and insides of a young girl have been painted on a wall to form some sort of twisted art piece. This is the third crime with the same modus operandi, and Joe's team, which includes Agent Katherine Cowles (Abbie Cornish), still has no leads.

Faced with no other option, Joe seeks the help of his former colleague John Clancy (Anthony Hopkins), a retired physician with psychic abilities. Armed with this new ally, they frantically search for more clues with little to no avail. And as the killer (Colin Farrell) somehow always remains one step ahead, they soon discover that he may just have the same special powers as John.
