The trailer for Pain and Glory begins with Salvador (Antonio Banderas), as his aging mother (Julieta Serrano) describes how he was a terrible son growing up. The trailer then cuts to various relationships Salvador experienced throughout his life—switching from childhood memories to the present time—as he tries to reach deep to get over the creative block he is suffering as a film director.
