In the final trailer for Overlord, Sergeant Ford (Wyatt Russell) asks a captured Nazi, “What’s inside the church? What happens to those people?” to which the Nazi replies, “They have been given a purpose.” We see the church is filled with monstrous creatures that have been created solely to attack American soldiers with brutal and lethal force. After one of the soldiers, Chase (Iain De Caestecker) dies, he’s given one of the shots used to create the monsters so he’ll come back to life, but he, too, turns into one of the murderous, undead creatures.
