In the riveting official trailer for the Dan Brown novel adaptation Inferno, Scientist Bertrand Zobist (Ben Foster) attempts to flee from pursuant SRS operatives atop Badia Fiorentina Tower in Florence, Italy. SRS head Chrisoph Bruder (Omar Sy) seeks to find out what the threat known as "Inferno" is. Rather than reveal his secret, Bertrand jumps to his death.

After finding an ancient image of Dante's Inferno in Bertrand's pocket, Christoph calls upon renowned symbologist Professor Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) to help him uncover its meaning. Along with Dr. Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), Robert begins to unravel the pieces to this hellish puzzle, but soon finds himself as the target of a nationwide manhunt, with no recollection of how or why.
