The first teaser trailer for the upcoming Inferno, based on the popular Dan Brown novel, opens as a cautionary voiceover indicates the following: "There is a switch. If you throw it, half the people on Earth will die. But if you don't, in 100 years the human race will be extinct." The images that play out as the these words are recited encompass our world today - trains roaring by on their tracks and masses of people moving through crowded city squares and tight streets. But there's also dark and apocalyptic imagery at work. A woman stands before a great wall of windows, and what appears to be blood comes crashing through the glass to fill the screen.
