In this first trailer for Gift, we are introduced to the idea of giving a gift to a stranger as a form of art. This feature length documentary, written and directed by Robin McKenna, explores the philosophical thoughts of Lewis Hyde's The Gift in action through various groups, peoples, and locales. From British Columbia to New Zealand, to Nevada and Rome, audiences are treated to understandings of giving and wealth, and the risks one takes when choosing to give. However, the reward brought by it, passed forward, and eventually returned, is a circle of wealth that can be gained.
