Maggie Swann (Michelle Monaghan) has been privy to a lot of trauma. After staying for an extended tour in Afghanistan, the time has come for the decorated U.S. Army medic to return home.

In addition to dealing with the guilt her ex-husband, Richard, dishes out at her, Maggie needs to establish a relationship with her son. In her absence, Richard has barely kept the memory of Maggie alive, leaving their child lost and confused upon her return.
