In this trailer for the movie Flatliners, we open up on two medical students, Courtney and Jamie (Ellen Page and James Norton), who make plans to see each other later that night. Next, we are brought into a laboratory where Courtney asks Jamie to stop her heart for “One minute, then bring me back.” From there, we meet the other medical students who help conduct these heart-stopping experiments to document the effects of death. By stopping their heart for several minutes, they can log observations of the afterlife. But the group becomes competitive, treating the experiments like a game, and that's when the horrors start to settle in.
