In the trailer for Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool, American actress Gloria Grahame (Annette Bening) meets British actor Peter Turner (Jamie Bell) in England. He finds out she was a big star in Hollywood, and has even won an Oscar. The two develop a relationship, and the glamour still surrounding the vivacious woman becomes apparent as people takes photos wherever she goes. However, when she collapses in her dressing room, she asks to be taken to Liverpool, but Peter tries to convince her to go to a hospital.
