Daniel (Bartosz Bielenia), 20, experiences a spiritual awakening while serving time in a youth detention center. When his sentence is finished, he is set to complete a work placement at a local sawmill. But when he arrives, he instead tells a girl (Eliza Rycembel) he is a priest and he takes over the local parish. The town is still reeling from a horrible tragedy and while Daniel tries to help them heal, his lie puts him in danger in the process.
