In the official trailer for Black Butterfly writer Paul (Antonio Banderas) is working on his next book. At lunch with a woman he explains that he hasn’t written much since his wife left him. He then picks up a lone drifter named Jack (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers) and takes him back to his secluded mountain cabin to stay for the night. But Jack obviously plans to extend his stay a little longer. After hearing a scream and seeing a flyer for a missing women, paired with Jack’s odd and aggressive behavior, Paul begins to get suspicious about who his house guest really is. It’s then that Jack makes Paul a prisoner in his own home and attempts to give him a real story to write about.
