In the trailer for Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, a woman walks along a quiet street in Victorian Age Gotham City at night when she bumps into a shadowy figure with a knife. She screams as he attacks her. Later, a nun says angrily that there's a butcher in Gotham preying on poor women while the police do nothing. Cut to Alfred, the butler, bringing Bruce Wayne his evening attire. Bruce admonishes Alfred, telling him that wasn't the suit he wanted. Batman announces that he will rid Gotham of "The Ripper" on his own.
