In the official restricted trailer for Atomic Blonde we see MI6 Agent Lorraine Broughton (Charlize Theron) wiring herself up to go undercover. A brawl with two large men ensues and Lorraine gets taken down with them. Through a flash of her skills, we see why Lorraine is said to be highly skilled in “escape, evasion, intelligence collection and hand-to-hand combat.” Bruised but never beaten, we see she has hardened herself to the life of a trained assassin. But when she learns that a close friend and fellow operative is killed, Lorraine is tasked to find out who is doing the killing. She links up with the quick-witted David Percival in Berlin to investigate, but after being told to trust no one, ends up getting close with a French operative. Followed by car crashes, bullet-riddled battles and epic fist fights, Lorraine is no doubt the best person for the job.
