This was by far the worse film I have ever seen. If I hear the word 'pie' one more time...

amazing movie...loved kerri russell - she was so engaging and played the role beautifully...was sad to hear that the very talented director/writer will not be able to make any more movies...

This little slice of americana serves up the perfect mixture of sweetness and sadness. Strong performances from both the leading and supporting cast make for a very convincing portrayal of a waitress trapped in a life of loneliness and desperation. I would recommend this moving tale of a life half-lived to anyone in need of a pick-me-up.

Creative and unique, this movie does not fill the "Hollywood" mold - and that's why I loved it! It has a good sense of self and an honest sense of humor. I would like to find out more about the director/cast member who I understand has since passed away. Sad loss of an obvious talent.

This was a beautiful, charming film. I must admit that I thought it started a little slow with respect to the character development, but the film recovered to present an interesting slice of life. Great performances from all, with Andy Griffith being a real stand-out. It saddens me that the director was murdered recently and we won't see any more work from her. Worth seeing.

This is the worst movie I have EVER seen. Those who are giving it a high rating are cruel (as my friend took me to see this movie since it avged a 4.5). I should have walked out of this movie, but I gave it a chance. I regret that decision immensely. It was tiresome, boring, and failed to bring out any emotional appeal from the audience whatsoever. I waited for ANY evidence of a climactic event all the way until the credits. If you go see it, be sure to bring the chi chi.
