SO much better than expected or the critics reviews, and MILES better than that stink bomb Jupiter Ascending! Great special effects, good acting, good story -- everything a fantasy popcorn movie should be with monsters and witches and magic. I loved it, and so did my friends. Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes, and Julianne Moore are all great!

Jeff bridges is the only saving grace for this movie. He really was the only character that I cared about. The remaining cast were so lifeless that I couldn't be bothered caring whether they lived or died. The special effects are decent, but the script writing was atrocious. I didn't go in expecting stellar writing, just a fun fantasy movie but was left wanting to troll Facebook rather than actually watch the movie. If you must go, please go on "cheap night" (it's 3d, so prices are still way too high).
