i thought it was pretty romantic. Pretty good, pretty convincing to me. Best movie i`ve seen in a long long time... probably best romantic movie ever and i`m an action movie type guy that loves blood and gore and a good story.

James Garner gave the performance of his life in this movie! Noah and Allie had a level of onscreen passion that I haven`t seen in many years. Great movie, but a tear jerker.

The Notebook is the mostwonderful depiction of reality I`ve ever had the honor to witness.

This was the best movie we`ve seen in a long time! Why wasn`t it nominated for an Academy Award? The acting, writing, cinematography, costumes, etc., were superb! It was one of those movies that gives you goosebumps...made you wonder what was really happening at first and then, as the story progresses you know the truth and it makes you smile. You will laugh and cry during the film and you will feel better having seen it! We haven`t seen a movie that made us feel that way in a long time! It brought back a lot of feelings from our youth!

WOW!!! I`m in love again. Watching Ryan Gosling grow up, who would have thought how sexy he is. Loved the movie. Will watch it over and over. We need more movies like this one. It is especially moving for those of us who have loved passionately and are aging. Keep your puffs handy.

IT WAS ABSOLUTLY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These days Hollywood makes maybe 1 in 100 movies anywhere near as wonderful as films from her golden years, when American movies were worth seeing. That era reflected an America with values and interests that recent movies, with vapid plots pumped up with violence and vulgarity, cannot touch. The Notebook is an oasis in the parched landscape of modern American films. It moved me deeply.
