Christian Bale nails his role.

Typical fight movie...hero has some setbacks then fights his way to be champion..was hoping for a twist but that never came..great acting but weak predictable plot.

Loved this movie! Great characters - you really cared about them - Christian Bale should win the Academy Award.

Story is not about drug addiction lol, thats just his movie... the story is ALL about mark wahlberg and his time!

This is an excellent movie! Walked in knowing a little bit about it. Saw the principle actors and the director interviewed on Charlie Rose's show. However, I was not prepared to just be blown away by this movie. Great acting. Great ensemble. Whatever you think of Christian Bales, you might as well give him the Oscar now. There is a scene towards the end when, not to reveal too much, the two brothers are singing together. This is when I realized I was in the presence of movie greatness. They got this one right. Enjoy!

Loved it - and I hate fight movies - didn't take itself too seriously - fun to watch

Mark Wahlberg's character is NOT the central character - I was disappointed. The story is more about drug addiction.
