I love the movie Shine, I don`t understand how someone could call it boring or really bad, Geoffrey is a incredible actor who did a more then marvelous job portraying Helfgott. I think the movie deserved more awards then it received. I have seen it more then 10 times and I still watch every minuet in awe.

I have seen Shine several times. I own it on VHS and play bits of it frequently. I cannot give enough praise to Mr. Rush and his portrayal of David Helfgott. It is especially endearing to me because I suffered for chronic depression for twenty years. An illness I would not wish on my worst enemy. I have been close to Mr. Helfgoff`s situation, so the movie has fact and substance to me. It is very easy to smile in the valley if you have never cried climbing the mountain. J. Mannion USA

I have seen the movie 5 times now. And everything time I see it again it moves me again. I already loved classical music, but appreciated Rachmaninov even more after seeing this movie. This year I went to Vienna, Austria to see David Helfgott playing at the Konzerthaus. This was a dream come true. And David`s concert was fabulious. Marcel (Amsterdam, Holland)
