never really figured out if this was supposed to be a comedy or a drama . not a bad movie , but didn't live up to how good it looked in the trailer.

“Patti Cake$” is a low budget independent film, by first time director Geremy Jasper, best known for his videos. On the surface it is an unbelievable tale about a low income, obese, white, female rapper (Australian born Danielle MacDonald), who bands together with a straight pharmacist technician by day, rapper wanna-be at night (Siddharth Dhananjay of East Indian decent) and a black American Anti-Christ recluse (Mamoudou Athie). On a deeper level, it is about trying to break out of your image, change your mould and your destiny. It is about fighting against the current and how others perceive you. Winning isn’t everything, but working and trying hard does count for something. Interesting, raunchy, eclectic sound track, accompanied by rock video type scenes and segments. The 1 hr and 50 minutes went by quickly, although, I had any idea of where this film was going, or why.

this trailer smells of raw garbage, I would feel all good inside if it wasn't full of self center agenda, greedy thoughts or distributing scenes ( typical rap crap ) sorry folks this isn't the feel good story of 2017, just something you'll wish u didn't eat when u order it, umm excuse me I want me money back pleeeeease
