This movie was actually a lot better than I was expecting it to be. I was thinking they should have just left the original as is with Kevin Bacon and not meessed with it, however I have to admit that the actor playing Ren in this remake did a really good job!

Footloose is one of those rare remakes that works on all levels. This is largely because of Craig Brewer's deft direction and his screenplay co-written by Dean Pitchford. The casting of Juliane Hough and Kenny Wormald in the lead roles is what makes this film along with its stellar choreography from Jamal Sims. Worth seeing.

If you were one who saw the original, then I'm not so sure you'll like this version. I "liked" it but I think you would enjoy it more if this was the first time. Also can't believe that there was no role in this movie for Kevin Bacon ???
