It was one of the most inaccurate historical dramas likely ever made. If seems like the writer and director just simply hated Churchill and wanted to smear his name. He wasn't perfect, made big mistakes, but he wasn't the man presented in the movie.

No. It's a fictional account and doesn't follow actual events. Avoid avoid avoid.

The acting, the Theme, it showed respect, valor, courage, one loosing being on top, and coming to terms. Excellent in every sense of the word. Someone wrote about his war crimes not being addressed. This movie was not about that. It was about about a possible 6 to 8 month period during WWII with the conflicts between him and the Generals and Ally military officials.

The problem with this movie on Churchill, like so many others, is that any movies on him don't ever address his war crimes. He is 100% responsible for the Bengal famine which killed an estimated 6 million Indians. That is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of directly caused carnage and loss of human life from this top of the line sociopath. But don't take my word for it, read the critically acclaimed book by Madhusree Mukerjee, called 'Churchill's Secret War'. Ask yourself; 'would I watch a movie about Hitler that praised his great abilities to create jobs in Germany and make the army strong and the German people proud? all the while ignoring the holocaust? That is basically what this movie is. That is the most amazing thing about Britain...how it has branded itself as a beacon of human rights and decency to the entire world when it is clearly so false. British people have to come to terms with their past genocides and horrors they have committed upon the brown people of this world...and the Irish too!

Very interesting topic told in a very dull way. Churchill comes across as immature and a bit stupid. Acting was overdone. Not a very long movir, but felt like it went on and on for ages. Save your money and wait for it to come on TV. Even then, don't waste your time!
