Poor Ang Lee. Despite being a powerful, Oscar-winning filmmaker, he is still blackmailed into casting the world's worst ever actor Kristen Stewart in his movie, thereby preemptively killing any chance at commercial success.

this is one of those movies that is so bad... but you cant seem to turn it off because you keep thinking it has to get better. it didn't get better.

See this movie for a number of reasons: finding out what is on Ang Lee's mind these days. An early look at new technology (120fps). Righteous treatment of post traumatic stress disorder, keeping in mind the destructive effects on young men and poor access to treatment. And also a consideration of the legitimacy of the Iraq war, and why soldiers re-enlist. There is somewhat of a mismatch between technology and narrative and a drawing out of scenes to exploit spectacle. I still wouldn't have missed the opportunity.

Bad movie!

Forced acting and weak plot line. Predictable in most ways. Also started out with Army guys saying Hoorah. That's a Marine thing, not Army. Don't waste your money on this one.

This genre is overdone. And anything with Kristen Stewart in it is something that needs to be avoided.

Great movie, excellent acting, realistic and moving. I would highly recommend this movie; definitely worth seeing!
