SARA PAXTON

Date of Birth: April 25, 1988

Born in Woodlands Hills, California, Sara Paxton began working in television commercials at the age of six. By the time she was eight, she made her first TV show appearance on a game show called Small Talk, in which contestants would try to guess how seven children between the ages of six and nine would answer various questions. Sara appeared in two episodes before going on to play Patty, a friend of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, in the video You're Invited to Mary-Kate & Ashley'/s Christmas Party (1997).

A small part in Liar, Liar (1997) starring Jim Carrey was followed by a supporting role in Soldier (1998) starring Kurt Russell. The blonde, blue-eyed youngster worked steadily over the next few years, including a regular role on the WB series Greetings from Tucson (2002) and guest appearances on shows such as Lizzie McGuire (2001), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2002), CSI: Miami (2003), Malcolm in the Middle (2004) and Will & Grace (2004), as well as playing the recurring role of Sarah Borden on Summerland (2004).

She has also appeared in several movies, including as popular girl Staci in the major motion picture Sleepover (2004). Later that year she began filming the starring role in the Family Channel/Discovery Kids TV series Darcy's Wild Life in Flamborough, Ontario during the summer months.

Right after shooting the first season of her hit TV series, Sara flew to Australia, where she filmed the title role as a drop-dead gorgeous mermaid in the major motion picture Aquamarine (2006), opposite fellow teen star Emma Roberts.

She then returned to Canada for the second season of Darcy before getting a regular role in the series Skater Boys, a spinoff of the skateboard movie Grind, which debuted in September 2006.

Sara's debut album, The Ups and Downs, was released in 2006 from Epic records.

Back on television, Sara played the role of Alicia Barnes on the TNT series Murder in the First in 2016.

Sara's most recent big screen role was as Donna Rice in The Front Runner (2018), opposite Hugh Jackman.

She speaks Spanish fluently, due to her mother who is of Mexican descent. Sara lives in the San Fernando Valley.
