MAX MARTINI

Date of Birth: December 11, 1969

New York native Max Martini grew up in a family that encouraged his interest in the arts, which first sparked his interest in acting. After moving around as a child due to his mother's job as a private investigator, Martini returned to New York to study acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse, then at Michael Howard Studios. He eventually obtained a BFA in painting and sculpture from the School of Visual Arts.

After graduation, Max began getting small roles in film and television. Some of his earlier roles include blockbusters like Contact starring Jodie Foster and Matthew McConaughey, and in Steven Spielberg's award-winning war drama Saving Private Ryan. He varied his experience by working in independent films such as Pictures of Baby Jane Doe starring Calista Flockhart and Cement with Chris Penn. Martini even proved competent behind the scenes when he co-wrote and starred in Desert Son.

Max has developed a memorable small screen presence, having guest-starred on some of the best primetime dramas of the last decade, including 24, Republic of Doyle, Taken, Criminal Minds, Flashpoint and CSI, among others. He is also an active theater actor and founded the Theatre North Collaborative in New York City, which consists of Canadian and American actors who strive to produce original works.

Max possesses American, Canadian and Italian citizenship and is the stepson of actor Stuart Margolin. He and his wife, Canadian actress Kim Restell, and their two sons divide their time between their Los Angeles home and their horse ranch.
