LUKE MABLY

Date of Birth: March 1, 1976

London-born Luke Mably trained at the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama before making his television debut in 1999 with a recurring role as Paul on the BBC TV drama, Holby City (1999 - 2001) as well as a simultaneous recurring role as Scott on the soap opera Dream Team (1999 - 2002). Other TV appearances included the mini-series In the Beginning (2000), a guest appearance on EastEnders (2002) and the NBC TV movie Uprising (2001), featuring an all-star cast including Leelee Sobieski and Donald Sutherland.

Early pastimes included making horror home videos with his friends, which is fitting with his completion of the short film Premonition, in which he plays a young man obsessed with a violent recurring dream. Mably's feature film debut was in the award-winning thriller 28 Days Later (2003). He then landed the biggest role of his career when he was chosen to play Prince Edvard Dangaard opposite Julia Stiles in The Prince & Me (2004). Next up for Mably is Colour me Kubrick (2004), starring John Malkovich.

Mably has also worked in theater, including playing Brian in The Breakfast Club at the Base Theatre; Gid in Sticks and Stones for Interchange Studios; Jo in Rush at Stratford East; and The Devil in Faust for the Crescent Theatre.
