KRISTIN KREUK

Date of Birth: December 30, 1982

The Vancouver-born Kreuk had never worked professionally as an actor before responding to a casting call for an "exotic-looking" girl to play the part of Laurel in the Canadian TV series, Edgemont. With just high school theater production experience behind her and the encouragement of her teacher, Kreuk auditioned and landed the role. Needless to say, the rest is history.

Since then Kreuk has starred in the ABC made-for-TV movie Snow White and can be seen each week as Lana Lang, the object of Clark Kent's affection, on the hit TV series Smallville. Just three years into her career, Kreuk made the cover of Rolling Stone magazine alongside her co-star Tom Welling.

The daughter of two landscape architect parents (her father is Dutch, her mother is Chinese), Kreuk had planned to attend university and possibly study forensic sciences, but it seems that plan will have to wait.

A natural beauty, Kreuk has worked as one of the faces for Neutrogena products. She made her big screen debut with a role in Eurotrip (2004), followed by a starring role in Partition (2007). Her latest project is Irvine Welsh's Ecstasy (2012), where she plays an unhappy wife who falls for a drug addict.
